Hey Guys,

I know I'm fairly new to the RMBBQA, and fairly new to this forum and haven't gotten to know too many of you very well, having only competed in a couple of competitions.  Also, I know I probably won't get any immediate responses, being that most of you are in Pueblo down at the riverwalk.(Heading there after this post)  Wish I was competing!  Good luck to all.  Anyway, in October, my church along with about a dozen other churches in the Pueblo community are putting on a city wide men's conference at the fair grounds and are expecting as many as 2000 people and I was asked if I would be willing to take on the food end of things.  I have a Stumps Classic that should be arriving any day, that maxed out could hold about 200 pounds of meat, and my church has a pretty big offset that could fit a 100 pounds or better.  That still leaves me a few cookers short, to be able to do PP Sammies for a possible 2000.  Wanting to know if everything was bought meat, charcoal, wood, and you were compensated for gas to come down to Pueblo the night before, camp out, and cook a massive amount of meat to be ready the next day at 11:30 if any of you would be willing to volunteer your time.  The dates of the event are Friday Oct. 1st, and Saturday Oct. 2nd.  Lunch will be served on Saturday at 11:30, so we would get going some time Friday evening.  Thanks in adavance for any responses. Here's my contact info  Brian Powers Cell #(708)704-2575  E-Mail: bepowers@live.com

P.S.  I realize this is the weekend of The Royal, so for those of you who aren't going and would be willing to help out.  That would be greatly appreciated!

Bump.........Hey Big B,  we've got a comunity event were gonna be at if I can't get to the Royal. Good luck! You could always pre-cook and then  start reheating early in the mornin the day of, and stash it in coolers to keep it hot.

Thanks for the encouragement bill,  I'm not worried.  Everything will work out, it always does.  Especially when you're doing the Lord's work.  If I have to, that's what we'll do.  Just pre-cook everything and then reheat the day of.
